GENERAL

What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept payments through our online shop using a credit card or Paypal. Items paid by PayPal e-Checks will not be processed until payment has cleared.

Will I be charged sales tax?
Orders sent or shipped within the state of Arizona will be charged 8.8% sales tax.

SHIPPED PRODUCTS

What is the expected delivery time for shipped products?
Once your order and payment is received, we will process your order within three business days. Shipping time is dependent upon shipping method, size of packages and location. Please view our Shipping Information page for full details.

I forgot to order something. Can I add it to my order?
We process and package our orders quickly, so by the time you have emailed us, your order has already likely been packaged and waiting for a shipping label. Therefore, we cannot add additional items to orders that have already been placed and paid for. Please place an additional order. 
 
How can I find out if my order has shipped?
Please allow up to three business days for your order to be processed and shipped out. Once it has been shipped, a shipping confirmation will be emailed to the email address provided when the order was placed. If you cannot find the shipping email in your inbox, please be sure to check your spam file before contacting us for status.

What is your refund/return policy?
If there is a problem with your order, please let us know within 3 days of receipt of order and we will make our best effort to resolve the issue. All returns must be AUTHORIZED by our customer service department and we do not offer refunds, rather a store credit. Please be aware that many of our items are non-returnable (balloons, gumballs, food-related items, etc). Items eligible for return must be authorized, unused, unopened and returned within 14 days of the date your order was received. Store credit will be provided after return has been received, inspected and assessed a 15% restocking fee. Shipping costs are nonrefundable and all costs for return shipping are the responsibility of the customer. Be sure that any returns are shipped prepaid, insured and with a tracking number for documentation purposes.

PRINTABLE DESIGNS

Once I place an order for printable party designs, what happens?
Once your order is placed and payment has been received, we begin customizing your products. Once finished, a PDF file will be emailed to you for printing. Download the file(s) and print at home or send to a print shop. Cut and assemble (as necessary) and get ready to party!

What is the turnaround time for printable files?
Printable Design Orders: Our turnaround time for emailed printable designs is typically three business days for customized orders. Non-customized orders are typically sent out within one business day, unless ordered with a customized file. In that case, the three business day turnaround time applies. If your order is urgent, rush fees are available. Please indicate when ordering.

Do you provide design proofs?
Due to the volume of orders we receive, we do not provide proofs for every order. All files are sent ready to print - this saves time not only for us, but for you as well! We do work closely with you to make sure your items come out exactly as you expected.

Are you taking custom orders for printable designs?
Custom order availability is done on a discretionary basis and depends on Kim’s availability, the type of design requested, and the volume of custom orders we currently have open. Please don’t hesitate to inquire.

Can I edit the designs once I receive them?
No. All of our products are copyrighted and cannot be altered except by The TomKat Studio.

What if I need to make a change to the text of my file?
Any errors or typos made by us will be corrected and sent back to you as quickly as possible. Otherwise, we allow one text change once the final file has been sent, and those will be sent within one business day of the change request. If additional changes are required, a small fee will apply.

How do I know what file type to choose for your invitations?
Choose JPG if you plan to print them out individually at a photo processing facility. Choose PDF if you plan to print at home or at a print shop. Our PDF files are formatted for standard 8.5"×11" paper. When you place your order, please specify which invitation file type you prefer. If file type is not indicated at checkout, a printable PDF file will be provided and if JPEG file is requested after PDF is provided, an additional fee will be required.

Can you please print and assemble my party designs for me?
Due to the volume of our printable design orders, we do not offer printed/assembled party designs at this time.

Can you customize the colors of a product I purchase from your shop?
Please email orders@thetomkatstudio.com with any specific change requests. We do offer customization and color changes for an additional fee (starting at $7).

I need this for a party tomorrow! Can I place a rush order?
We will try our hardest to accommodate our customers whenever possible. Please email orders@thetomkatstudio.com with your specific needs and we will see if we can help. Our rush fee is typically $10 and are only available on our existing designs, not custom orders.

Can I have text added to the fancy labels?
Yes. The charge is $7 per sheet of four labels.

PAPER

What is the best type of paper to use for your products?
Bright white card stock or heavy weight matte photo paper.

PRINTING

What type of printer do you use?
Inkjet photo printers are best to print our products, if printed at home. Kim uses a Canon Pixma Pro9000 for all of her parties and printed samples.

Can I print these myself or should I send them to a professional printer?
Many home printers provide beautiful quality when using a high quality paper. We recommend doing a test print at home and if you aren't satisfied with the quality, then bring the file to your local print shop. The colors look different on paper than they do on the computer screen and in your shop.

Can you adjust the colors?
Our designs are always provided in the same color values. Monitors and printers can vary greatly in color and your printed files may not look exactly like the photos and files shown in our shop. If you are concerned with colors, we highly recommend that you request a design sample from the collection you are ordering. Any color change requests will require an additional design time fee.

ASSEMBLING

What type of punch can I use to create cupcake toppers (party circles) and favor tags?

What do I use to cut out the printable 4" party circles?

How do I make cupcake toppers?
Download and print your printable party circle file. Cut your page into columns. Use one of our punches to punch out the desired shape. Using a 1" white circle label (available at an office supply store), attach a 4" lollipop stick (available here in our shop: http://shoptomkat.com/item_417/Lollipop-Sticks.htm) to the back of your punch party circle. How do I make the Food/Dessert Labels into tent cards?
Download and print your food/dessert label file. Cut out the square/rectangle labels. Cut an additional piece of white cardstock 2.25" x 3". Fold the cardstock in half horizontally. Use double sided tape to attach on the backside of your label at the bottom in the center.

How do I assemble the banner?
Download and print the letter panels for the banner. Trim at edges. Use a craft knife to make small slits in the top left and right corners of each letter panel. Be sure to make the slits long enough to fit the ribbon through. Thread ribbon or twine through the slits and hang!

MISCELLANEOUS

Is Kim available to hire for party planning?
At this time, Kim is only available for special projects. Her schedule is extremely busy with her current freelance project commitments, in addition to keeping up with the blog and shop. Please contact her at kim@thetomkatstudio.com with any freelance project inquiries.

Can I submit my party pictures to be featured on The TomKat Studio blog?
We would love you to! However, we receive many submissions and regretfully cannot feature or respond to every party we receive. Please email 6-8 party pictures and a brief summary of your event to photos@thetomkatstudio.com. Please let us know if your party has been featured on any other blogs or websites. If we decide that we are going to feature your party, we will notify you.
